1,4-Dioxane Analysis: Modern Techniques for Actionable Data

February 24, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST

$25

1,4 Dioxane is a chemical that has been widely used as a stabilizer in chlorinated solvents. However, 1,4 Dioxane poses significant environmental challenges due to its persistent stability, mobility, solubility as well as being a probable human carcinogen. This compound affects groundwater, soil, sediment and wastewater which results in a number of methods for analyzing 1,4 Dioxane. In this class you will learn about the tools and methods available for both low level analysis of and molecular biological tools for 1, 4 Dioxane assessment.

Jim Occhialini is a vice president with Alpha Analytical. He has a total of over 40 years of environmental analytical and consulting experience working on a wide range of project applications including being the specialty analytical services practice leader at Alpha.
