PFAS – What you need to know!
June 11, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EDT
$35
The family of compounds known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) used in consumer and industrial manufacturing are persistent in the environment and are comprised of over 6,000 compounds. The most widely known compounds in this group are perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). However, the list of compounds of interest is growing quickly as commercially available standards are developed.
We have learned a lot about PFOS and PFAS in recent years, and this EnviroClass will be taught by some of the most knowledgeable speakers on the subject. AnnieLu DeWitt from Clean Harbors and Paul Jackson from Pace Analytical are two of the leaders in the industry and they speak at conferences all across the United States.
