Predicting the Future of PFAS

The family of compounds known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) used in consumer and industrial manufacturing are persistent in the environment and are comprised of over 6,000 compounds. The most widely known compounds in this group are perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). However, the list of compounds of interest is growing quickly as commercially available standards are developed.

But, what does the future of regulations with PFAS look like? What can we expect in 2021 and beyond?

This EnviroClass will be taught by some of the PFAS leaders in the US. Matt Geary from CETCO has been in the remediation industry for over 30 years and Mike Rossi from Pace Analytical is the manager of the PFASTTM Mobile lab.
