Remediation Geology and Geophysics: Connecting the Dots
February 22 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Free
Understanding both geology and geophysics is paramount to both optimizing environmental site characterization and remediation. This class will provide you a robust glimpse into the science of geology and geophysics as well as two leading technologies in the space: Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy and Electrical Resistance Tomography.
Rick Cramer is the CA Remediation Department Manager at Burns and McDonnell. He has more than 30 years of experience in providing strategic planning and technical direction for multidisciplinary environmental projects. Rick developed and established the Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy (ESS) technology as an emerging best practice in the environmental industry.
Dr. Todd Halihan is the Chief Technical Officer at Aestus. He earned his M.S. in Geology at the University of Missouri Columbia and holds a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences at The University of Texas at Austin. Todd is a professor for the School of Geology at Oklahoma State University and during his collaborations with Aestus and research at OSU during 2002 and 2003, Todd was the primary inventor of the proprietary form of Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERI).
