Dr. Julio Zimbron is the Founder and President of E-Flux, a company that provides a proprietary, passive method based on carbon dating to measure the rate of natural source zone depletion (NSZD) at contaminated petroleum sites. He received a B.S. in Biochemical Engineering from Mexico’s Monterrey Technical Institute and M.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Colorado State University. He is affiliated faculty at CSU’s Research and Innovation Center. Dr. Zimbron’s experience of nearly two decades includes environmental consulting, applied industrial and academic research. Dr. Zimbron has been involved with the development of NSZD guidance documents for the American Petroleum Institute, and the ITRC LNAPL document, and is a presenter and trainer on the subject of NSZD at national and international venues.
