When she’s not working to clean up contaminated sites, Lydia volunteers as a ‘Big Buddy’ counselor at grief camp for children; spoils her two rescue dogs and five ‘niblings’; cooks, bakes, and develops innovative recipes – often pushing her problem solving skills creating culinary masterpieces within the confines of various dietary restrictions; paints; and enjoys all of the varied beautiful outdoor spaces of NC.
